Common Body Changes in Women After Giving Birth

Hair Loss

A few week after delivering a baby, you may start losing some amounts of hair. An average person actually lose about 100 hairs a day, but will tend to lose far less during pregnancy because of the raging hormones. After the pregnancy is over, your body then will need to compensate and then lose extra hair during the first six months after delivering the baby. You dont need to worry about this case though because your hair is going to be back on its normal growth cycle.

Skin Discoloration

There are also some women who end sup developing the mask of pregnancy. This would be the tan-colored area thats around your eyes which will start to fade. Some women also ends up experiencing a red rash around their mouth as well as on their chin and some suffers with very dry skin as well. These conditions will however be gone only within weeks.

Changes on your Breast

Most women will get a swollen, flushed, sore and engorged with milk for about a day or two after giving birth. Once that is over, the swelling process then goes down and three to four days later on, your breast starts to sag as the result of a stretched breast skin. You may likewise experience milk leakages for weeks.

Stomach Changes

After giving birth, your uterus will still be hard and round and you could in fact feel this by simply touching the naval. For about six weeks, this is going to turn about 2 ounces and you are not going to feel it even when you press your abdomen. The brown line which you probably noticed down the center of your lower abdomen also disappears.

Experiencing Back Pains

Because it will take time for your stretched abdomen muscles to strengthen again, your body will put more weight on your back muscles. Because of this, it will lead to back aches until you will have your abdominal muscles strengthened again. You may however see a chiropractor.

Experiencing Constipation

When you have been constipated at the time of your pregnancy, you will still experience it after giving birth. But if you will have a diet which is high in fiber and drinking lots of milk, water or juices, it could help to ease the pain.

Have Sweating Problems

There are women who starts to experience excessive sweating during the night after giving birth. This is simply for the reason where the body needs to remove some of the extra fluids which they have accumulated at the time of pregnancy.
